Welcome to Cairo, Egypt – A local representative will greet you from your international flight and assist with customs and immigration, and then get you transferred to a hotel that overlooks the pyramids. After check-in, remainder of day/evening will be at leisure.

In the morning enjoy a visit to Sakkara. Here you have the chance to visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser, which is the first Pyramid built and it is the world’s oldest stone structure. Later we drive to Memphis, the capital of the ancient kingdom and one of the most important cities throughout the history of ancient Egypt. Here we visit the mostly open-air Memphis Museum and see the fallen statue of Ramses II. In the afternoon we drive to Giza to visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mycerinus,and see the enigmatic Sphinx: a pharaohs’ head with a lion’s body.

After breakfast meet with your private tour guide and enjoy a full day tour visiting the Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Saladin (with its Alabaster Mosque and Tomb of Ottoman ruler Mohamed Ali), Old Cairo area (with mix of Islamic and Christian Monuments) and Khan El-Khalily Bazaar.

This morning you will be transferred to Cairo airport for a short flight to Luxor. Following your arrival, you will be met at Luxor airport by Egyptologist English speaking tour guide for your tour. Starting at Luxor’s famous West Bank, where 64 ancient Egyptian rulers lie buried in the Valley of the Kings including the burial chamber of the boy king, Tutankhamen, step inside the tomb to discover, Continue to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the rare female pharaohs, Stop for a photo of the Colossi of Memnon, Amenhotep III. After exploring the West Bank, you will have lunch at a quality local restaurant before visiting the colossal Temples of Karnak complex. Among its wonders are the architectural feat of the Great Hypostyle Hall and the sacred lake. Continue to the impressive temple of Luxor which was once connected to Karnak by a two-kilometre long avenue of Sphinxes to see one of the original pairs of the obelisk, the second of which now stands on the Place de la Concorde in Paris. Finally, you will be transferred to Luxor airport for your return flight to Cairo and transferred to your hotel.
