Frequently Asked Questions

Q.1Why should we book with you?

• Protect yourself by booking with a legal fully licensed TURSAB operator.
• Save money as travel agencies always get better rates than the customers.
• Save time by having us promptly organize all the hotels, flights, tours, transfers etc.
• Tailor your dream vacation with a local travel expert.

Q.2When is the best time to visit Greece?

The best times to visit Greece are in the spring and fall. From April to the beginning of June, the heat of summer has not yet set in and the cruise ships have not arrived with their thousands of tourists. From late September through October it’s usually still warm enough for the beach but much less crowded. Whenever you choose to go, you’ll find a lot to see and do, wonderful Mediterranean cuisine and lively, friendly people.

Q.3Do we need a visa for Greece?

Greece is a member of the Schengen Convention, which means that if you travel to an EU member country or countries, like Greece, for a total of less than 90 days, a visa is not required. Citizens of Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the US, the UK and other member countries of the EU and Schengen area are included under this arrangement. Other countries do require a visa to visit Greece.

Visas are the responsibility of the individual traveller. Entry requirements can change at any time, so it’s important that you check for the latest information. Please visit the relevant consular website of the country or countries you’re visiting for detailed and up-to-date visa information specific to your nationality.

Q.4Do we need to purchase travel insurance before traveling in Greece?

Absolutely. All passengers travelling with Veni Vidi Travel are required to purchase travel insurance before the start of their tour. Your travel insurance details will be recorded by your guide on the first day of the trip. Due to the varying nature, availability and cost of health care around the world, travel insurance is very much an essential and necessary part of every journey. Check for insurance policies that cover trip cancellation/interruption, travel/baggage delay or loss and medical expenses.

Q.5What does a ‘Flexible Independent Tour’ mean?

These are the tours the free spirits typically prefer. On an independent tour you set your own schedule and you won’t be with a group. With an independent tour vacation, you’ll still enjoy having your hotel, flight tickets, transportation, excursions, and some meals included with your package, but the rest is up to you. Many people prefer independent tour vacations for the freedom, flexibility and privacy they offer.

Q.6What does a ‘Escorted Group Tour’ mean?

An escorted tour is one that is conducted by a tour director. They will take care of everything from beginning to end. For example, your transportation to and from the airport, as well as transportation to and from your hotel for daily activities. Typically there is a strict agenda with meal times, and places to visit set up for you as well. You’ll also be with a group throughout your tour.

Q.7Can we choose our own start and finish dates for a trip?

Yes you can. All of our tours can be started any day of the year you like, in most cases, subject to availability. Or just let us know your exact start and end travel dates and we can shorten/lengthen any trip to suit your dates.

Q.8What type of transportation is used on tours?

A variety of transportation methods including public and private minivans, cars, coaches, trains, flights, ferries, boats, etc. We use whichever method provides travelers with the safest and most efficient transportation option.

Q.9What will the accommodation be like?

We only use hotels situated at excellent locations and close to all amenities. Room types range from double rooms to junior suites, depending on the package of choice. Amenities and facilities may differ from those in South America, North America, or Australia.

Q.10Is airfare included in programs? Can we book our international flight through you?

Our tours do not include international airfare. You can purchase your airfare tickets through the internet or a wholesaler. By booking your own flight, you have more flexibility and control of your choices – in real time.

Q.11What is the process of organizing travel services with your company?

1- We respond to your request via email or phone with an outline itinerary based on the information you have provided us with. We may still need to ask you additional questions and/or offer our suggestions.

2- Your travel consultant will use his/her personal knowledge to match your likes, dislikes and preferences. He/She then checks the availability of services, transport schedules, alternative times and routes. Puts together a package most suitable to your requests and budget.

3- If you have agreed to proceed, with the completion of required documents, we start your pre-bookings and secure services.

* Please note : We/you may fine tune the itinerary as many times as you wish. If the bookings have been made, changes thereafter may depend on the availability of services.

Q.12When and How I will receive my tour documents?

Travel documents and electronic flight tickets are usually sent 21 days prior to departure. However, you will receive tour vouchers, maps, ferry or domestic flight tickets and other required information upon arrival in Greece. This will be included in a welcome package waiting for you upon arrival at your hotel.

Q.13Can I change my tour itinerary after getting confirmations?

Once the tour documents and tickets have been issued, changes can only be made if airline and supplier conditions permit. Accommodation, flights, cruise, and private tours cannot be changed or revised 72 working hours prior to departure dates. 100 EURO of additional fee will be charged for any change you will make on your confirmed tour program.
